WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

After you verify your eligibility (any medical school graduate who applied to match in OB/GYN, regardless of matched specialty in summer 2024), you will receive a pre-intervention quiz and survey to complete.

On Monday, May 6, your mobile phone number will be enrolled in the course with your first message! Texts will contain questions, a link to a podcast, and/or an infographic, with a lesson every day. The course will last 25 weekdays.

Be sure to respond to the text messages every day in order to get the full course experience (yes — it talks back to you!). By replying “STOP,” you can discontinue the text course at any time.

After the course, we’ll send you a post-intervention assessment to gauge your thoughts on the curriculum. We’ll also ask whether we can send you a message in a few months to see how you think the course impacted your start to residency!

IS MY PARTICIPATION ANONYMOUS?

100%. We will not share the results of any individual survey answers with your medical school or residency.

Maximize your Challenge in 2024 with RoshReview! You will get a free month’s access to the RoshReview CREOG Q-Bank, as well as multiple assessments designed to pair with the Intern Challenge. Your warm up pre-test, along with four weekly mini-challenges, will culminate in one Final Challenge.

Best of all, at the end of the course you’ll get a report about where you’re looking strong, and where you can look to shore up some additional knowledge.

It’s up to you whether you choose to share your SMS and RoshReview performance details with your program — though we encourage it, as we hope it will help you develop an individualized learning plan to start residency on the right foot.

We won’t sell your email or phone numbers to anyone. We don’t obtain any identifying information in our surveys. The study is considered IRB-exempt by the University of Washington.

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST ME? DO NEED TO GET A NEW APP?

No costs!

If you have fees associated with receiving text messages, standard carrier rates may apply. And the best part of getting this is that it is seamless with apps you already use — text messages/WhatsApp, Twitter/Instagram, and all major podcatchers.

The RoshReview challenges can be completed using the RoshReview app or by using a web browser.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERYTHING?

We’d love it if you would, but we also know your time is valuable, so don’t feel pressured! You can always contact us if you miss a day or have questions regarding the content.
